The HiTi P750L reports problems with named messages and numbered variants. This guide explains what HiTi publicly documents, adds safe operator-level checks, and clearly separates those checks from faults that require manufacturer or qualified technical support.

Written and maintained by Southtrend Corp., an independent authorized HiTi dealer since 2010 with experience supporting professional photo printers, photo booth operators and event photographers.

Technical basis: HiTi's official P750L troubleshooting pages, current product specifications and English P750L user manual. Last technically reviewed: August 2026.

Important troubleshooting and safety notice: This guide is general information, not a substitute for diagnosis by HiTi technical support or a qualified service provider. Record the complete error name and number before restarting. Stop immediately if you notice smoke, an unusual odor, excessive heat, liquid exposure, grinding or straining, media that cannot be removed safely, or any next step that would require removing covers or internal parts.

Start here: safe checks before troubleshooting

Four checks that prevent incorrect diagnoses

1. Record the complete message
Photograph the display or write down the exact error name and number. Paper Jam 04 and Paper Jam 05, for example, do not have the same documented first check. Do this before restarting, because the message may disappear.
2. Restart only as documented
Switch the printer off and wait at least three seconds before switching it on again. HiTi's user manual specifies this minimum interval. Do not repeatedly cycle a printer that makes unusual noises or immediately returns a CAM, ADC, NVRAM or Printing Fail message.
3. Confirm the installed media
Verify that the paper and ribbon are compatible P750L media and correspond to the intended print size. Keep partially used paper and ribbon together and retain the carton label and lot information until the kit has been tested.
4. Check only operator-accessible areas
Make sure the front cover is closed, the paper roll and flanges are seated, the ribbon is installed, and the exit is clear. Do not reach into the cutter or remove panels. If paper is still held by rollers, follow the documented release procedure before attempting removal.
Dealer experience: When assisting a P750L owner remotely, we begin with a photograph of the complete display message, a photo of the media carton label, and the question, “Did this begin immediately after a media change?” Those items separate loading and media-compatibility problems from service-level faults without guessing or opening additional supplies.

Correct P750L media loading and normal initialization

Paper roll, flanges and spacers

Match the flanges
Use the green and black flanges in the matching color-coded holders. Attach each flange securely to the paper core so the roll sits centered and turns freely.
Use spacers only for 5x7
The two black spacers supplied with the printer are for 5x7 media. Do not install them with 4x6 or 6x8 media. They are not transport locks.
Feed to the paper-setting lamp
Insert the leading edge squarely until the paper-setting lamp lights. Do not push it much farther than required. A folded, torn or angled leading edge should be cut straight and perpendicular before loading.
Four sheets after a media change
The printer automatically ejects four sheets after a paper roll is loaded or replaced. HiTi describes this as normal initialization to remove sheets that may have dust or fingerprints; it is not a jam or an unexplained loss.
Paper tray use
The optional tray can hold approximately 50 finished 4x6 prints. HiTi's manual advises against installing the tray for 6x8 output and recommends removing large prints frequently so they do not obstruct the exit.
Dealer experience: A useful remote-loading check is one photograph showing both flange colors in their holders and the paper leading edge at the setting point. It is more reliable than asking whether the roll “looks right,” and it avoids telling a customer to keep feeding paper after the detection lamp has already come on.

Paper feed and jam errors

Paper Not Ready

What HiTi says it means
The paper roll is installed incorrectly, commonly upside down.
What to do
Remove the roll and reinstall it in the orientation shown in the printer's loading instructions. Confirm the flanges are securely joined to the paper core, are in their matching holders, and the leading edge reaches the paper-setting lamp.
Escalate when
A correctly oriented and securely seated roll still produces Paper Not Ready after one restart. Do not declare a sensor failure from the message alone; contact technical support for diagnosis.

Paper Out 01 and Paper Out 02

Paper Out 01
The roll is not installed, or its leading edge has not been inserted far enough for the printer to detect it. Load the roll and feed the paper until the setting lamp lights.
Paper Out 02
The paper roll is empty. Replace the roll using compatible P750L media and keep the replacement paper paired with its ribbon.
Escalate when
The corresponding documented check is correct but the same message persists. A technician may need to test the detection system; the display message alone does not prove which component failed.

Paper Jam 01 and Paper Jam 03 — internal obstruction

What HiTi says
Paper, a paper fragment or another object is obstructing the internal path.
Safe recovery
Install or reinstall the ribbon, close the front cover and restart the printer so it can release the rollers. After release, remove accessible paper gently. Cut away folded, creased or already printed paper with scissors, making a straight cut perpendicular to the roll.
Do not
Do not pull hard while the rollers are holding the paper, force media through the cutter, or use pliers or sharp tools inside the printer.
Escalate when
Paper cannot be removed safely or the same code returns immediately with correctly loaded fresh media.

Paper Jam 02 and Paper Jam 04 — exit-area obstruction

What HiTi says
Paper, scraps or another object is stuck around the exit.
Safe recovery
Clear the output area. Reinstall the ribbon, close the cover and restart so the rollers release. Remove the paper only after release. For Paper Jam 04, HiTi also tells users to reinstall the paper roll and make sure the roll and flanges are joined correctly and securely.
Check the workflow
Leave adequate space at the exit and remove completed prints before they can stack back into the path, especially with 6x8 output.
Escalate when
The paper remains trapped or the error returns after the exit, roll and flanges have been checked.

Paper Jam 05

What HiTi says
Reinstall the paper roll and make sure the roll and flanges are joined correctly and securely.
What to inspect
Confirm both flanges are fully attached to the core, placed in the matching holders and not allowing the roll to shift or bind. Trim a damaged leading edge squarely and feed it only to the setting point.
Escalate when
The same message returns with a securely assembled, freely turning roll. Stop operator troubleshooting and contact HiTi technical support or an authorized service provider rather than attempting to access internal sensors or components.

Paper Mismatch

What it means
The installed paper-roll size does not agree with the paper type or size selected for the job.
What to do
Confirm the physical media, then match the paper selection in the printer driver and the application or photo-booth software. Clear queued jobs created under the previous media setting before retesting.
Important distinction
Paper Mismatch concerns the paper size selected for the job. It is different from Ribbon Mismatch, which concerns the ribbon identified by the printer.
Escalate when
The physical roll and all print settings agree but the error persists.
Dealer experience: Before anyone pulls jammed paper, ask for a photo of the display and a photo of the paper path or exit. The code identifies where HiTi wants the user to look first, and the photographs help prevent a safe release procedure from becoming a forced-removal repair.

Ribbon, RFID and media-authentication errors

HiTi's messages use the terms IC Chip and RFID for ribbon identification. These are not operator-programmable parts. The safe diagnostic method is to verify installation and compatibility, then test one known-good compatible ribbon when appropriate.

Ribbon Out 01 and Ribbon Out 02

Ribbon Out 01
The ribbon is physically empty. Replace it.
Ribbon Out 02
The remaining-print count in the ribbon's RFID tag has reached zero. Replace the ribbon even if a small unused-looking section remains.
Why paper may remain
Canceled, failed or interrupted jobs can consume ribbon panels, so paper and ribbon may not finish at precisely the same time.
Escalate when
A new, compatible ribbon immediately produces the same message after being correctly installed. Retain the carton and ribbon for the supplier or technical support.

Ribbon Mismatch 01, 02 and 03

Mismatch 01
HiTi says the physical ribbon size differs from the size encoded in the RFID tag. Replace the ribbon.
Mismatch 03
HiTi gives the same basic explanation: physical ribbon size and RFID encoding disagree. Replace the ribbon.
Mismatch 02
This is not documented as another ordinary media-size mismatch. HiTi says the printer may be broken and directs the user to technical support.
Do not do this
Do not clean, reset, rewrite or modify the RFID tag. Keep the failed ribbon and packaging so the supplier or support team can identify the media.

IC Chip Error and IC Chip Missing

IC Chip Missing
HiTi says the ribbon is not installed or detected. Install or reseat the ribbon, close the cover and restart.
IC Chip Error
HiTi describes the ribbon's RFID tag as broken or unreadable. Replace the ribbon with a compatible one.
Escalate when
A correctly installed known-good ribbon produces the same error. At that point, printer-side diagnosis is required.
Do not attempt
Do not clean electronic contacts, reset or rewrite the RFID tag, or open the printer to reach the reader. Replace the ribbon and contact technical support if a known-good ribbon produces the same error.

Ribbon Missing

What to do
Restart the printer and reinstall the ribbon cassette, making sure it is correctly seated and the front cover closes fully.
Escalate when
The message persists after a verified ribbon has been installed correctly. Do not force the cassette or defeat the cover interlock.

Security Check Fail

What HiTi says
The ribbon is incompatible with the printer. HiTi treats this as a ribbon-compatibility problem rather than proof of a general printer failure.
What to do
Verify the ribbon is compatible P750L media. Replace or exchange the ribbon through the supplier if the message follows that ribbon.
Escalate when
More than one verified compatible ribbon produces the same result. Contact technical support for printer-side diagnosis.
Important
Security Check Fail identifies an incompatible ribbon. Confirm that the media is made for the P750L and replace the ribbon through the supplier. Do not use this message alone to diagnose firmware, warranty or media-authenticity issues.

Broken ribbon

Temporary recovery
HiTi permits a broken ribbon to be joined with tape. Make the joint flat and secure, then wind the repaired section completely and tightly onto the take-up side so the taped portion will not pass through the active printing area.
Limit of the repair
This is temporary recovery, not a diagnosis. The interrupted print is lost, and a thick, wrinkled or poorly aligned joint should not be run under the head.
Escalate when
The ribbon breaks again, the supply or take-up spool does not turn freely, or the repaired joint cannot be wound completely beyond the print area. Stop printing and contact technical support.
Dealer experience: One known-good compatible ribbon is usually a better diagnostic test than opening several new kits. When one ribbon fails and another works, retain the failed ribbon, carton and lot information for the supplier. When verified ribbons repeat the same printer-level message, stop consuming media and move the case to technical support.

Hardware and system errors

CAM Error 01 and CAM Error 02

What HiTi publishes
For both CAM Error 01 and CAM Error 02, HiTi says the printer may be broken and instructs the user to contact technical support.
Safe operator check
Record the exact variant, power off, check only for a safely visible paper or ribbon obstruction, close the printer and restart once.
Operator limit
HiTi does not provide an operator repair for CAM Error 01 or CAM Error 02. After one restart and a check for safely visible obstructions, contact technical support.
Escalate when
Either CAM error remains or returns. Do not repeatedly drive the mechanism or remove internal covers.

Cutter Error

What HiTi says to inspect
Look for paper shreds around the cutter and paper-exit area.
Safe action
Power off before inspection. Remove only loose debris that is visible and safely reachable from the operator-accessible area. Keep fingers and tools out of the blade path.
Do not do this
Do not use compressed air in the cutter mechanism, pull paper through the blade, or place fingers or tools in the cutter path.
Escalate when
The error persists, the cutter makes abnormal noise, or a print remains held by the blade.

FW Check Error

What it means
HiTi says firmware for the wrong printer model or region may have been installed, or the correct firmware did not load successfully.
What to do
Download firmware only from HiTi's official Download Service and confirm it matches the exact P750L model and region. Use a stable direct connection and do not interrupt the update.
Escalate when
The correct firmware does not clear the message or the printer cannot complete startup.

ADC Error, NVRAM Error and Printing Fail

ADC Error
HiTi says the printer may be broken and directs the user to technical support.
NVRAM Error
HiTi directs the user to technical support.
Printing Fail
HiTi says the printer may be broken and directs the user to technical support. The message by itself does not prove a USB cable, low-voltage venue circuit, sleep setting or corrupted job.
Safe first response
Record the exact message, cancel the current job if possible, restart once, and contact support if it remains or returns. General USB checks can be useful for communication problems, but they should not be presented as the confirmed meaning of these display errors.

Cover Open and front cover will not open

Cover Open
Make sure the front cover is fully closed. Reseat the ribbon if it prevents the cover from closing. Contact support if the message remains with the door visibly closed.
Cover will not open
HiTi's manual tells users to confirm the printer is on a level surface and that nothing is obstructing the front of the cover. Do not pry the cover.
Escalate when
The interlock message persists or the cover remains mechanically held after the documented checks.
Dealer experience: For CAM, ADC, NVRAM and repeated cutter faults, the most useful evidence is the exact display message plus a short video of startup or the abnormal sound. It gives technical support more diagnostic value than repeated restarts and helps prevent a mechanism from being driven against a fault.

Print-quality problems

Horizontal line across the print

HiTi's published response
HiTi directs P750L users to technical support for a horizontal-line defect.
What to preserve
Keep the defective print, photograph it straight-on in neutral light, and note whether the line repeats in the same position on multiple prints.
Diagnosis
A horizontal line can have more than one cause and cannot be identified reliably from the defect alone. Preserve the print and report whether the line repeats in the same position.
Before contacting support
Confirm that current P750L driver and firmware versions are being used and print one known reference image, but do not repeatedly consume media if the defect is clearly repeatable.

White line or scratch

HiTi's FAQ procedure
Power off, unplug and allow the head to cool. HiTi's FAQ recommends alcohol above 90 percent on clean nonwoven material to clean the thermal head.
Manual caution
The P750L user manual is more conservative and advises contacting a HiTi dealer for thermal-head cleaning and maintenance. Users who are not comfortable identifying the correct surface should stop and request service.
Never use
Do not pour or spray liquid inside the printer, use abrasive cloth, paper towel or tissue, or touch the head with bare fingers.
Escalate when
The defect remains after the documented cleaning procedure or repeats in the same location on a fresh media kit.

Abnormal speckles or dotted missing areas

Official guidance
HiTi's online FAQ says the printer may require service. The user manual additionally associates dotted areas that do not print with dirty rollers.
Safe maintenance
Follow the manual's roller-cleaning instructions with the printer powered off and cooled. HiTi describes using double-sided adhesive tape to lift contamination from the rollers.
Escalate when
The pattern remains after correct roller maintenance, is sharply repeatable, or the user cannot access the specified roller safely.

Weak, flat or inconsistent density

HiTi's first step
Update the P750L driver and firmware to current compatible versions, then contact technical support if the problem remains.
Useful isolation check
Print one known reference JPEG at default color and density settings. This helps separate a source-image or software adjustment from a repeatable printer output problem.
If the problem remains
If a known reference image still prints weak after compatible driver and firmware updates and a verified media test, preserve the samples and contact technical support. Do not replace the thermal head based on weak density alone.
Media condition
Use properly stored, compatible media. HiTi recommends 40–60 percent relative humidity, temperatures above 5°C and below 30°C, and protection from sunlight and dust.

Skew or white edge

Official adjustment
Open the P750L driver's Printing Preferences, select Tools, then use Position Adjustment for length and width.
How to adjust
Return to a known baseline, make small changes, and print one test after each change. Avoid changing the template, application scaling and driver position simultaneously.
Escalate when
The adjustment cannot correct the defect or the paper is visibly tracking at an angle despite correct loading.

Wrong layout size versus a true cutting problem

Layout or image is wrong
Check the template dimensions, application paper size, driver paper size and scaling. A mismatch here can create the wrong layout without a failed cutter.
Physical cut is wrong
HiTi's public answer for cutting-size defects directs the user to technical support. If the printer cuts at an incorrect physical position after the job and driver settings are verified, preserve the sample and contact support.
Custom template sizes
HiTi publishes these template pixel sizes: 4x6 — 1280×1844; 5x7 — 1544×2140; 6x8 — 1844×2434. Keep printer firmware current when using custom templates.
Dealer experience: A defective print is diagnostic evidence. Keep it, mark the media type and job settings on the back, and photograph it under even light. The most useful comparison is the same known reference image printed twice—not two different customer photographs judged from memory.

Wi-Fi, NFC, card reader, drivers and setup

Supported printing methods and file format

Ways to print
HiTi lists Wi-Fi, memory card and PC connection for the P750L. USB 2.0 is the wired interface.
Mobile app
HiTi lists the Prinbiz app and iOS/Android compatibility. The supported app file format is Baseline JPEG.
Current compatibility
The product page contains legacy minimum operating-system wording. Before upgrading a production computer, verify the exact current driver for that OS on HiTi's Download Service rather than relying on an old minimum-version statement.

Wi-Fi dongle and card reader

HiTi dongle required
Wireless printing requires a compatible HiTi wireless USB dongle. HiTi states that other brands' Wi-Fi dongles are not supported.
Using both at once
HiTi documents a card reader with both a memory-card slot and USB port. Connect the HiTi Wi-Fi dongle to the card reader's USB port, then connect the card reader to the printer.
If transfer fails
Confirm the sending device is connected to the printer's Wi-Fi rather than another network, the selected image is a supported Baseline JPEG, and Prinbiz has permission to access the file. Restart the connection before assuming a printer fault.
Choosing a dongle
Use only a Wi-Fi dongle specifically confirmed by HiTi or an authorized HiTi dealer as compatible with the P750L in your market. Generic USB Wi-Fi adapters are not supported.

NFC: what it does and who can use it

Function
NFC stores connection data and helps a compatible phone join the printer's Wi-Fi. It is a connection shortcut, not a separate printing technology.
Platform
HiTi's NFC support guidance identifies these NFC functions as Android-only. iOS devices can still use the supported Wi-Fi/Prinbiz workflow without NFC.
If NFC is not detected
Enable NFC, unlock the Android phone, remove cases or metal plates that may block the signal, and hold the phone's NFC antenna at the printer's marked NFC area. Join Wi-Fi manually if the tap fails.
After changing Wi-Fi details
In Prinbiz printer settings, enter the new Wi-Fi name and password in NFC settings, then touch the phone to the printer's NFC area and confirm the write. Update the tag immediately after renaming a printer.

Matte finish, print sizes and media

Matte
The P750L supports glossy and matte output. Matte is selected in the printer driver's Printing Preferences/Settings; it does not require a separate matte media kit.
Main media kits
HiTi supplies 4x6, 5x7 and 6x8 P750L media. Each 4x6 roll yields 1,000 prints; each 5x7 or 6x8 roll yields 500 prints.
Supported output sizes
HiTi currently lists 4x6, 5x7, 6x6, 6x8, 2x3, 3.5x5, 3x8, 2x6, 5x5, 3x4 and 3x6. Some derivative sizes require the corresponding standard or perforated media and the correct driver cut setting.
Do not mix media rules
Confirm the exact print kit and driver option before promising a derivative size. A layout size alone does not make incompatible physical media usable.

Color management and customized templates

Color options
HiTi describes using its supplied color profiles, Windows color management, or no printer color management when a third-party application such as Photoshop manages color.
Avoid double management
Do not have both the application and printer driver independently apply incompatible color correction. Test with a known reference image and change one setting at a time.
Templates
For a template that is not recognized, HiTi recommends updating firmware. Use the published template pixel dimensions and supported Baseline JPEG format.
Dealer experience: Connection troubleshooting begins by identifying the path: direct USB, Wi-Fi/Prinbiz, or memory card. Asking only “Is it connected?” mixes three different workflows. For Wi-Fi cases, request the device model, OS version, Prinbiz version, printer firmware version and a screenshot of the connected network before recommending hardware replacement.

Maintenance, storage and transport

Routine operator maintenance

Rollers
HiTi's manual recommends regular roller cleaning and describes using double-sided adhesive tape to lift contamination. Power off and allow the printer to cool before maintenance.
Thermal head
The manual recommends dealer assistance for thermal-head cleaning. HiTi's FAQ gives an alcohol-above-90-percent procedure for white lines or scratches, but users should not proceed unless they can identify the correct surface and follow the safety precautions.
Filters and openings
Vacuum dust from the filter openings and keep ventilation unobstructed. Do not blow debris deeper into the printer.
Driver and firmware
HiTi recommends periodic driver and firmware updates to optimize color and performance. Match updates to the exact model and region and never interrupt firmware installation.

Media storage

Official range
HiTi recommends relative humidity of 40–60 percent and temperatures above 5°C and below 30°C.
Protection
Keep unopened media away from direct sunlight and dust. Allow cold media to reach room temperature while still sealed before loading, which reduces condensation risk.
Partly used media
Keep the paper and ribbon paired, covered and labeled with the size and carton information.

Safe transport

Remove consumables
Remove the ribbon and paper roll before moving or shipping the printer.
Protect the head
Reinstall the thermal-head protective pad. The black 5x7 spacers are not the protective pad.
Power-off sequence
HiTi's manual instructs users to close the front cover while the printer is powered and then switch it off when the appropriate Ribbon Missing state is displayed. Do not power it off while the cover is open.
Packing
Use the original HiTi carton and cushioning. The printer weighs approximately 59 pounds without media; use two-person handling.

Power interruption during printing

Documented recovery
Switch the printer off, wait at least three seconds, then switch it on. Follow the displayed paper-jam procedure if one appears.
Do not force the sheet
A power interruption can leave paper held by the rollers. Restart so the mechanism can release before attempting removal.
After recovery
Inspect the leading edge, cut off any printed or creased section squarely, reload, and print one test.
Dealer experience: Keep the original carton, thermal-head protective pad, flanges and spacers together in a labeled transport kit. Those small parts are easily separated from the printer during installation, yet they are exactly what is needed when a unit must be moved or shipped safely.

P750L and P525L troubleshooting differences

The P750L and P525L share several error names, but they are different printer models. Use the instructions written for the exact model shown on the printer, especially for media loading, jam recovery, accessories and service procedures.

P750L-specific messages and setup topics

Paper Not Ready
Listed for the P750L and described as an incorrectly installed or upside-down paper roll.
Paper Jam 05
Listed for the P750L, with guidance to reseat the roll and flanges securely.
Ribbon Mismatch 02
Listed for the P750L and treated by HiTi as a possible printer fault requiring technical support.
CAM Error 02
Listed for the P750L and directed to technical support.
NFC setup topics
The P750L public support menu includes NFC setup and tag-rewrite questions.
Use model-specific instructions
Do not assume that matching error names mean the two printers use identical parts, sensor locations or repair procedures. Follow the P750L manual and P750L technical instructions for this printer.

When to stop and contact technical support

Stop operator troubleshooting when

Service-level display errors
CAM Error 01 or 02, ADC Error, NVRAM Error, Ribbon Mismatch 02, or Printing Fail remains or returns after one documented restart.
Media cannot be removed
Paper or ribbon remains trapped after the printer has been restarted to release the rollers, or removal would require force or tools.
Mechanical warning signs
Grinding, repeated clicking, straining, smoke, unusual odor, excessive heat, liquid exposure or a foreign object inside the printer.
Repeatable output defect
A line, scratch, speckle pattern or cut defect repeats after the exact manufacturer-recommended operator check.
Internal access
The next step would require removing covers, bypassing an interlock, reaching into the cutter or disassembling the mechanism. Internal work may affect warranty coverage and should be handled by qualified service.

Frequently asked questions

What does Paper Not Ready mean on a HiTi P750L?

HiTi identifies Paper Not Ready as a paper roll installed incorrectly, commonly upside down. Remove and reinstall the roll in the orientation shown in the loading instructions, confirm the green and black flanges are seated in their matching holders, and feed the leading edge until the paper-setting lamp comes on. If the message remains after correct loading, record the exact message and contact technical support.

What is the difference between Paper Out 01 and Paper Out 02 on a HiTi P750L?

Paper Out 01 means the paper roll is not installed or its leading edge has not been inserted far enough to be detected. Paper Out 02 means the paper roll is empty. For Paper Out 01, load the roll and feed the paper until the paper-setting lamp lights. For Paper Out 02, replace the paper roll with the matching media kit.

How do I clear Paper Jam 01, 02, 03 or 04 on a HiTi P750L?

Paper Jam 01 and 03 refer to an obstruction inside the printer. Paper Jam 02 and 04 point to paper, scraps or another object near the exit. HiTi instructs users to install or reinstall the ribbon, close the front cover and restart the printer so the rollers release before removing paper. Cut away any creased or printed section squarely. Do not force paper, and contact technical support if it cannot be removed safely.

What does Paper Jam 05 mean on a HiTi P750L?

HiTi's P750L guidance associates Paper Jam 05 with the paper roll or flanges not being joined and seated correctly. Remove and reinstall the roll, make sure both flanges are securely attached to the core and seated in their matching holders, and confirm that the roll turns freely. Contact support if the same error returns with correctly loaded media.

What do Ribbon Out 01 and Ribbon Out 02 mean on a HiTi P750L?

Ribbon Out 01 means the ribbon is physically empty. Ribbon Out 02 means the remaining-print count in the ribbon's RFID tag has reached zero. Replace the ribbon with compatible P750L media. Keep partially used paper and ribbon paired because failed or interrupted prints can make the remaining paper and ribbon quantities unequal.

What is the difference between Ribbon Mismatch 01, 02 and 03?

HiTi says Ribbon Mismatch 01 and 03 mean the physical ribbon size does not agree with the size encoded in its RFID tag, so the ribbon should be replaced. Ribbon Mismatch 02 is different: HiTi treats it as a possible printer fault and directs the user to technical support. Do not assume all three codes have the same cause.

How do I fix IC Chip Error or IC Chip Missing on a P750L?

IC Chip Missing usually means no ribbon is installed or detected; install or reseat the ribbon and restart. HiTi describes IC Chip Error as a damaged or unreadable ribbon RFID tag and recommends replacing the ribbon. If a known-good ribbon produces the same message, contact technical support rather than attempting to modify the tag.

What does Security Check Fail mean on a HiTi P750L?

HiTi describes Security Check Fail as an incompatible ribbon rather than a general printer failure. Confirm that the ribbon is compatible P750L media and replace it through the media supplier if necessary. If more than one verified compatible ribbon fails, contact technical support.

What should I do if the ribbon breaks inside a HiTi P750L?

HiTi allows a broken ribbon to be joined temporarily with tape. Align the broken ends, make a flat secure joint, and wind the repaired section completely onto the take-up side so the taped area will not pass through the active printing area. If the ribbon breaks again, stop and contact support because the underlying cause may require service.

What should I do for CAM Error 01 or CAM Error 02?

Record whether the display says CAM Error 01 or CAM Error 02, restart the printer once after checking only for safely visible obstructions, and contact HiTi technical support if the message remains. HiTi treats both CAM errors as possible printer faults and does not provide an operator repair procedure.

Why does my P750L print have a white line or scratch?

HiTi's P750L FAQ recommends cleaning the thermal head with alcohol above 90 percent on clean nonwoven material. Power off, unplug and allow the head to cool first. Do not spray liquid into the printer or use abrasive material. The user manual is more conservative and recommends dealer service for thermal-head maintenance, so stop and contact support if you are not comfortable or if the defect remains.

Why does my P750L print have speckles or dotted missing areas?

HiTi's user manual associates dotted missing areas with dirty rollers and recommends cleaning the rollers. Power off and let the printer cool. Follow the manual's roller-cleaning procedure and avoid touching the thermal head. If the marks remain in exactly the same location, preserve a sample print and contact technical support.

How do I correct skew or a white edge on P750L prints?

HiTi directs users to the printer driver's Printing Preferences, then Tools and Position Adjustment, where length and width positioning can be corrected. Make small changes and print one test after each adjustment. If severe skew remains with correctly loaded media, contact technical support.

Does the HiTi P750L support matte printing?

Yes. HiTi lists glossy as the default finish and matte as a supported finish. In the Windows driver, open Printing Preferences and select the appropriate finish in Settings. Available wording may vary by driver version.

Can the P750L use Wi-Fi and a card reader at the same time?

Yes, using the arrangement documented by HiTi: use a compatible card reader that has both a memory-card slot and a USB port, connect the HiTi Wi-Fi dongle to the card reader's USB port, and connect the card reader to the printer. Third-party Wi-Fi dongles are not supported.

What are the two black spacers supplied with the P750L?

The black spacers are used for 5x7 paper. Do not install them for 4x6 or 6x8 media. They are media-size spacers, not shipping locks. For transport, HiTi separately instructs users to remove paper and ribbon and reinstall the thermal-head protective pad.

Why does the P750L eject four sheets after I load new media?

This is normal initialization. HiTi's user manual states that four sheets are automatically ejected after a paper roll is loaded or replaced to remove paper that may have dust or fingerprints from handling. Do not treat those four sheets as a paper-jam symptom.

How should I transport a HiTi P750L?

Remove the paper and ribbon, reinstall the thermal-head protective pad, and use the original HiTi carton and cushioning. Close the front cover while the printer is powered, then switch it off only after the display reaches the appropriate no-ribbon state. The printer weighs about 59 pounds without consumables, so HiTi recommends two-person handling.

Important troubleshooting disclaimer: This guide is provided for general informational and operator-level troubleshooting purposes. It cannot determine the condition of an individual printer and is not a substitute for diagnosis by HiTi technical support or a qualified authorized service provider. The same display message can have more than one underlying cause, and the correct repair may depend on the printer's firmware, region, media, operating environment, service history and physical condition.

Follow the current HiTi P750L user manual, official technical instructions and applicable warranty terms. Contact HiTi technical support or an authorized service provider before internal disassembly, firmware recovery, cutter work, electrical diagnosis or any repair not explicitly described as an operator procedure. Stop using the printer immediately if there is smoke, unusual odor, excessive heat, liquid exposure, electrical damage or abnormal mechanical noise.
